Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey released a statement Sunday morning after at least two Alabamians were killed from severe weather that pummeled the state Saturday.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has issued a state of emergency for all 67 counties ahead of this weekend’s severe weather. “The state of Alabama is at risk for potentially dangerous, severe weather throughout this weekend, so it is critical that everyone stays very aware of their local forecasts,” reads today’s release.

At least two people were killed Saturday in severe weather in Alabama that spawned dozens of tornadoes and left damage all over the state. Gov. Kay Ivey said in a statement Sunday that the two people had died in Plantersville in Dallas County and Winterboro In Talladega County.
