Auburn will retire its Heisman Trophy winning QB Cam Newton's No. 2 jersey on Oct. 11 in a ceremony during the Tigers' rivalry game against Georgia.

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn will retire 2010 Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton's No. 2 jersey this fall, making him the fourth player in program history to receive the honor. The ceremony will take place during Auburn's home game against rival Georgia on Oct. 11.

The Auburn football program announced Monday it will hold a ceremony to retire Newton’s No. 2 jersey during the Georgia rivalry game on Oct. 11. Only three other players have had their numbers retired in Auburn history.
