Florida baseball took the first game of the final series of the regular season agains the Alabama Crimson Tide at home on Thursday night.

Florida answers with a run in the sixth inning as Blake Brookings belts a one-out double and scores on an RBI single by Bobby Boser. But Boser, who stole second later in the inning, is left stranded when Landon Stripling grounds out to the pitcher to end the inning. Alabama 6, Florida 5 end 6th.

It's been a while since the Alabama baseball team moved up in the D1Baseball Top 25. An opportunity to do that was squandered by the Crimson Tide with a walk-off Sunday defeat at Vanderbilt that sealed the series for the Commodores.
