Kevin Willard has agreed to become Villanova’s next head coach, leaving Maryland in need of a head coach after the men’s basketball program’s first trip to the Sweet 16 since 2016.

Willard still had four years remaining on his seven-year, $29.4 million contract he signed in 2022.
