Someone claimed a $5 million prize from a lottery game, according to the Texas Lottery. A Frisco resident bought the winning $5 Million Royale scratch ticket at RaceTrac, at 2676 Eldorado Parkway in Frisco.

The Powerball jackpot has hit $700 million after no one matched all six numbers in the Wednesday, Aug. 20 drawing.

So far in 2025, there have been no Mega Millions or Powerball lottery jackpots that have reached $1 billion. The closest to date was Powerball's Wednesday, Aug. 6, drawing.
