Thousands of people attended May Day protests across the country Thursday in response to the Trump administration’s controversial moves against immigrants and federal workers over its first 100 days.

Demonstrations celebrating workers and protesting President Donald Trump and his adviser, Elon Musk, are scheduled in Washington state for May Day.

Labor rallies in large cities swelled with demonstrators focused on immigration, education and worker’s rights. But protesters also rallied at small-town schools and city halls in Trump country.
