A man has died after being involved in what police called a domestic violence-related shooting in South Nashville.

Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department are investigating the 19-year-old’s self-defense explanation for shooting his mother’s husband on Sunday afternoon.

It happened yesterday afternoon inside an apartment on Southwood Park Place. No charges have been filed at this time.
