I've honestly called myself a "foodie" more times than I can count, so to watch Nonnas with my Netflix subscription was like a dream come true—or sheer torture, considering how ridiculously delicious the food looked and how famished it left me.

"Nonnas," the Vince Vaughn-led comedy film also starring Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Linda Cardellini and Susan Sarandon, was the most-watched title on Netflix during the week of May 5-11.

But the underlying warmth in Chbosky’s direction and Liz Maccie’s script papers over that, and you get a movie that feels like a nice ode to how food brings us together, and it’s the sense of community that can start to heal our grief.
