The Texas Rangers were able to hold off the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night for a 2-1 win in their first game of a three-game series, but it wasn’t all positive for the team. Shortstop Corey Seager missed another game because of nagging hamstring soreness.
Seager returned from a first stint on the IL on May 3 after the minimum 10 days and without a rehab assignment. Over the next 10 days, he played in just five of the Rangers’ nine games. He went 8 for 23 (.348) with two homers, but said he was feeling increasing soreness on every swing by the weekend.
