Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal has never been the biggest fan of Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, but even he had to admit Gobert was "dominating" the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series Wednesday night at Crypto.

In the aftermath of the Los Angeles Lakers' 103-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves that ended their season, one of the big stories coming out of Game 5 was how much Rudy Gobert dominated them. ESPN's Dave McMenamin quoted one Lakers team source as saying "Gobert looked like Shaq" against them.

At the half, former Laker Shaquille O’Neal didn’t hesitate to single out the one Timberwolf who “was dominating” the action, Rudy Gobert. Minnesota led 59-49 thanks in large part to Gobert’s 15 points and eight rebounds. With Gobert’s two-way impact on full display, even from the broadcast booth, Shaq could see it.
