Both Minnesota and Wisconsin were hit by tornadoes during Monday night's severe storms, the National Weather Service confirmed.The first hit Kenyon, Minnesota, in Rice County around 5:55 p.m., according to a storm report.

Severe thunderstorms rolled across the central U.S. on Monday, producing damaging winds, large hailstones and at least one tornado. And the system is forecast to bring the same threats to more than 50 million Americans from Texas to New York on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service confirmed six tornadoes touched down in Wisconsin during severe storms that swept through Monday night and early Tuesday. In Eau Claire County, four EF-1 tornadoes were confirmed, causing structural damage and leaving a path of destruction that stretched east of Augusta.
