The Chicago Cubs won the race for Alex Bregman's signature after agreeing on a five-year, $175 million deal with the All-Star third baseman on Saturday to conclude his free agency.
According to Fansided’s Chris Landers, that superstar is four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker. Tucker has been rumored to be a pivot by the Boston Red Sox after losing Bregman, but Landers thinks Toronto can’t be outbidded.
A two-time World Series champion (2017, 2022) and the 2018 All-Star Game MVP, Bregman has established himself as one of the premier infielders of his era. Throughout his career, he has earned a Silver Slugger Award (2019), a Gold Glove (2024), and three All-Star selections, including his most recent nod in 2025.
