WASHINGTON—The American Civil Liberties Union sued the Trump administration Wednesday for access to migrants transported from the U.S. mainland to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba, arguing that the government is denying rights the detainees may have under the Constitution and federal law.

In a new lawsuit, the ACLU is taking on the Trump Administration over what it calls a deprivation of rights of those who were deported to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The Lawsuit argues that the Trump Administration is taking away the first and fifth amendment rights of the undocumented migrants who have been shuttered away from the world at Guantanamo Bay.
