A cold front could bring thunderstorms with damaging hail and winds to Chicago and other parts of Illinois and Indiana Thursday.
A severe thunderstorm watch was enacted until 11 p.m. from Quincy in western Illinois then east to Fort Wayne, and from Springfield Downstate, north to Kankakee. Lightning, small hail and winds still pose risks north of that area.
