The U.S. House Oversight Committee is accusing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison of "one of the most stunning oversight failures" regarding the handling of taxpayer fraud in federally funded social programs.

House Oversight Committee report alleges Gov. Tim Walz turned a blind eye to billions in fraud in Minnesota's social services programs for years.

"The legislative session wrapped up a couple of weeks ago, and with it Tim Walz’s relevance in Minnesota politics. For that we can all be thankful," writes Jim Schultz, who was a Republican candidate for Minnesota attorney general in 2022.

A recent Congressional report alleges Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison were aware of widespread fraud concerns but failed to take sufficient action to stop them.

The eight years Walz has spent in the governor’s office — after a dozen years in the U.S. Congress representing Southern Minnesota — have been marked by challenging times.
