After 30 years of thrills, the Adventure Landing waterpark and arcade in Jacksonville Beach has closed. Oct. 14 was the last day of operation at the park, its waterslides, wave pool and lazy river.

After 30 years in operation, Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach has officially closed. The popular water park and arcade hosted its final guests on Oct. 14.

The announcement came on Oct. 30, following a 48-hour cryptic countdown at stilltheproblem.com, that included a radar with various blips on unnamed cities, one of which appeared to be Gainesville.

The clock has run out on the waterslides and wave pool at Jacksonville Beach's Adventure Landing. After three decades, the park closed this week.
