A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 3:18 p.m. EST valid from 7 p.m. EST until Sunday 7 a.m. EST for Leelanau, Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Manistee and Charlevoix counties.

WVDOH and ODOT ready for winter weather
Both departments are wanting drivers to be safe and cautious when they see their drivers out caring for the roads.
The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
Winter Weather advisories are in effect mainly for our eastern Wiregrass counties, as light accumulation up to an inch is possible. Most new models have uptrended, showing the colder air coming in quicker and dropping some snow.
Winter is locking in for much of the rest of the month. Cold and wind chills will be the bigger stories in the near term, as most snow will be very light. A batch of snow will develop later tonight as a weak wave of low pressure develops along a slow-moving front. Areas east of the city could see up to an inch by Sunday morning.
