The Academy Award nominee has been cast in the spinoff series The Dutton Ranch (working title) in a lead role opposite returning stars Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little, Paramount announced on Monday. Bening will play a character named Beulah Jackson, described as the powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.

After weeks of mystery about the new “Yellowstone” spinoff filming in North Texas, details are finally starting to trickle in about the new series. Deadline and Variety are reporting that Annette Bening (”American Beauty,” “Open Range”) has joined the cast of the Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler-led spinoff.
