Italian giants AC Milan have been handed a warning that new signing Victor Boniface is a risky summer transfer business due to his injury history, ahead of the new domestic season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Leverkusen have lost a number of players, including centre-back Jonathan Tah to Bayern Munich, but they have brought in Jarell Quansah from Liverpool this summer. With the departure of Granit Xhaka to Sunderland confirmed, Robert Andrich and Aleix Garcia will almost certainly be asked to play in midfield.

Speaking ahead of the game at his first proper league press conference since his return to the Rossoneri, head coach Massimiliano Allegri revealed his main target for the season, praised the club’s transfer window and dropped a hint about the rumoured arrival of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface.
