The White House on Friday released a budget blueprint that signals major shake-ups at NASA, as part of an effort to axe $163 billion in federal spending.

President Donald Trump’s proposed budget for next year calls for sweeping cuts to many of NASA’s programs, including a plan to phase out the agency’s Boeing Co.-made moon rocket, reduce crews and operations on the International Space Station and gut science initiatives.

The budget threatens to kill Lunar Gateway and the Mars Sample Return mission, along with phasing out the gigantic SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft.
