As a Samsung user, I prefer the Galaxy S25 Ultra but is it the right phone for your needs as well or are you better served by Apple?
The battle of entry-level flagships isn't even close. If you're considering the iPhone 16 vs the Galaxy S25, there's a clear winner.
Samsung’s exciting new flagship launch is just a few weeks away, and promises an Android upgrade that’s the closest we’ve seen yet to iPhone, at least from a security and privacy perspective. Android 15 which hit Pixels late last year has already raised the bar, but Samsung will take this further when its One UI 7 is released alongside the S25.
What will be announced has not finally been decided yet. But certainly US, Korea will be announced (sic). And then that model might be available as a second (wave) launch.
Samsung Electronics on Wednesday unveiled its newest Galaxy S25 smartphones, powered by Qualcomm's chips and Google's artificial-intelligence model, hoping its upgraded AI features can reinvigorate sales and fend off Apple and Chinese rivals.

Samsung is injecting another dose of artificial intelligence into the next version of its Galaxy smartphones, escalating an effort to simplify people’s lives while deepening their dependence on a devi
Samsung just announced the Galaxy S25 Ultra at the Unpacked 2025 event and in this comparison, we see how it fares vs the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Samsung ended its latest Galaxy Unpacked event by announcing the Galaxy S25 Edge -- the slim model that has been rumored for months.
Another clear differentiator with the S25 Edge is that it doesn't have three cameras like the S25 and S25 Plus (the S25 Ultra has four lenses, that model sitting at the top of the range). Instead the S25 Edge has two, plus a 'frame' protrusion around that camera duo – all of which adds to the thickness of the device in that area.
I also anticipate the Galaxy S25 Edge to ship with 12GB of RAM. It makes sense with Samsung’s heavy push into agentic AI assistants in 2025, and less RAM would hinder the Edge when future updates come around. At a minimum, I’d expect the Edge will receive the same 7 years of software support as the rest of the S25 lineup.
