Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has made a name for himself in the NBA since joining the league in 2016. But it is what he has done off the court that has truly set him apart from many of his peers in the Association since starting his professional basketball career.

“I’ve had to adjust, it’s a different year,” Brown told NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin following the win. “I just do what the team needs me to do. I’ve been able to evolve through different things in my career. This team, I’m more of a playmaker, so I just embrace it and get better in that role and do what I do.”

⋅ The final minute of regulation against Atlanta was frenetic and, at times, tough to keep track of. But it certainly looked as if Jrue Holiday lost track of the score after the Celtics decided earlier that they would foul the Hawks while holding a 3-point lead.

Williams makes the argument that the award almost always goes to a big man and that there should be a separate DPOY that isn't just based on blocks. He wants one that is more based on who makes it hard for other teams to score on them and other things of that nature.
