People crowded into a small room at the Illinois Central College College Workforce Sustainability Center to welcome Pritzker at the Peoria stop on his reelection campaign. Excited supporters spilled onto the room's balcony level and were encouraged to go outside to welcome Pritzker with campaign signs as he stepped out of his car onto the campus.

Gov. JB Pritzker has announced the selection former state representative and deputy governor Christian Mitchell as his running mate for lieutenant governor. Mitchell served as a state legislator from 2013 to 2019.
