Netflix has announced its first English-language medical procedural series and a Spanish period drama that looks straight out of Bridgerton.

It might come as a surprise that Netflix has never had its own English-language medical drama. Not that those shows are easier to make than any other genre, but there sure have been enough of them on television over the last several decades that Netflix might have made making one a priority.
