President Donald Trump deleted a racist video on his social media account that depicted former President and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys, following criticism from a bipartisan group of members of Congress.

Trump’s team took 12 hours to remove a racist video from the president’s Truth Social account.

Democrats attacked Mr Trump as “vile” over the clip of the Obamas – the first black US president and first lady – while a senior Republican senator said the video was blatantly racist.
