Quarterback Caleb Williams was driving on the highway when he received the call from Chicago Bears leaders with the news Monday. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was set to become his new head coach.

Newly minted Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson held his first press conference on Wednesday afternoon, during which he praised Chicago's roster, poked fun at some divisional rivals, and spoke more candidly and in detail about his plans to fix an ailing franchise.

Ben Johnson was always going to need a tremendous offer to leave an incredible situation with the Super Bowl contender Detroit Lions. As it turns out, the new Chicago Bears head coach probably just needed a quarterback with special talent. You know, someone like Caleb Williams.
