Florida came into Tallahassee an underdog Tuesday night against the previously undefeated Florida State Seminoles, but the Gators left with a victory.

Florida State baseball's unbeaten start to the season ended Tuesday night at the hands of rival Florida. The Gators took down the Seminoles 7-2.

Many college baseball fans consider the first four weekends of play to be the ramp-up part of the season, and Florida is now officially diving into the deep end this week with Florida State and Tennessee on deck.

The offense did not turn up in the biggest game of the season to date. Florida State went down on strikes ten times, went 1-9 with runners on, and pushed across just two runs as the Florida pitching staff took the bat out of their hands.
