India fired missiles into Pakistani-controlled territory in several locations early Wednesday, killing at least 26 people including a child, in what Pakistan’s leader called an act of war.

India has launched strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir in revenge for a terror attack two weeks ago. Pakistan says civilians have been killed and vowed to respond to the "act of war".

India claimed military strikes in Pakistan and the contested regions of Jammu and Kashmir targeted “terrorist infrastructure.”
