Frost rally comes up short in loss to Ottawa
Ottawa goalie Emerance Maschmeyer had stopped all 19 shots she faced from the Minnesota Frost but after surrendering a goal to Taylor Heise, she was unable to finish the game. The Frost trailed 2-1 with 8:55 left to play when backup goalie Gwyneth Philips, who made one save, came in.
Ottawa's Alexa Vasko scored a late short-handed goal to lift the Charge to a 3-2 Professional Women's Hockey League victory over the Minnesota Frost.
With the loss, Minnesota remains tied with Boston with 35 points and Ottawa is close behind in fifth with 30 points.
