Martin Keown issued an apology to Ruud van Nistelrooy over their infamous clashes during Arsenal’s historic Premier League rivalry with Manchester United. Keown is responsible for one of the most iconic images of the Premier League era when he celebrated Van Nistelrooy’s missed penalty at Old Trafford in 2003.

Ruud van Nistelrooy and Martin Keown have been re-united with both men having been front and centre in tense clashes between Manchester United and Arsenal in the past.
