On Richardson's third possession, a beautifully thrown downfield pass to Anthony Gould for 38 yards was negated by a penalty. There were a few off-target throws, but also two really nice touch passes from Richardson and we saw that improved accuracy on the short to intermediate throws.
In the end, it was Jones who won as he was announced as the starter for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. That leaves Richardson, who the Colts selected with the No. 4 pick in the 2023 draft, on the outside looking in.
