Joao Pedro has joined Chelsea on a seven-year deal, committing to the west London club until June 2032. Chelsea have paid Brighton in excess of £50m for him.

Chelsea have announced the arrival of João Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal thought to be worth £60 million ($81.6 million). The versatile Brazilian forward has signed a contract stretching until 2033 and has the chance to join up with his new Chelsea teammates this month at the Club World Cup.

Sources have told ESPN that Chelsea agreed a deal worth a total of £60 million ($82m) with Brighton for the forward's transfer. The 23-year-old has signed an eight-year deal at Stamford Bridge and could make his Chelsea debut in their Club World Cup quarterfinal tie against Palmeiras on Friday.
