EAST LANSING -- Less than 48 hours after Michigan State’s season came to an end in the Elite Eight, a key player is apparently looking for a new school. Junior guard and co-captain Tre Holloman will enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. He would be the first player on the roster with eligibility remaining to enter the portal.
Michigan State guard Tre Holloman plans to end his college career at another school. Agent Brandon Grier says Holloman entered the transfer portal and informed coach Tom Izzo of his decision on Tuesday.
After two rocky seasons at Michigan State, sophomore forward Xavier Booker entered the portal on Tuesday, a program spokesman confirmed. He is a former five-star prospect but so far has failed to live up to the lofty hype created by recruiting rankings and selection as a McDonald’s All-American.
