More retailers are offering discounts around the same time as Amazon's Prime Day. Dollar General, REI, and Kohl's have their own July sales in 2025.

Amazon Prime Day is a summer sale that was first introduced in 2015. At its start, Prime Day was a single-day event meant to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. Over the years, it’s expanded into a 48-hour event, but this year it’s getting another extension: Amazon Prime Day 2025 will be four days long.

Mashable's Shopping team has been covering Amazon Prime Day since 2018, and this year, we've got our work cut out for us. The retail giant just announced that it's extending its flagship members-only sale to four days for 2025.
