The Red Sox were hoping to get the All-Star version of Walker Buehler in free agency, but it hasn't worked out.

In 22 starts, Buehler posted the worst numbers of his career with a 5.40 ERA, 16.5 percent strikeout rate and 10.7 percent walk rate.
