John Schneider has a plan with his starting rotation now that newcomer Shane Bieber is healthy and ready to make his Toronto Blue Jays debut.
Bieber is reportedly nearing a return to the majors after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April of 2024. He’s carried a 2.45 ERA across six rehab starts in the minors this season and is expected to pitch at least once more before making his Blue Jays’ debut, per Axisa.
George Springer went deep and Shane Bieber had another strong outing as both made rehab appearances for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Friday. Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters earlier on Friday that Springer is likely to be in the Major League lineup on Saturday.
