Steve Kerr called on the NBA to change this rule amid claims that the Rockets' Dillon Brooks is going out of his way to hit Steph Curry's injured thumb.

During the Warriors' 131-116 road loss to the Houston Rockets in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on Wednesday, Rockets forward Dillon Brooks contacted Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry's right hand following a shot. No foul was called, but it was significant since Curry has been nursing an injured right thumb for much of the season.

Curry has been playing with a wrap on his right thumb all series after suffering an injury in the Warriors' penultimate game of the regular season on April 11. He has not missed any games, but Kerr has noticed it is a point of emphasis on opposing scouting reports.
