The 10 people killed in the crash of a Bering Air flight in Western Alaska last week included a group of engineers from the Anchorage area working on a water plant, a teaching mentor from the Mat-Su and four Nome and Unalakleet residents, including the pilot and a school counselor.

The search continues Friday for a small plane that went missing in Alaska, with 10 people on board. The Bering Air flight was traveling from the village of Unalakleet to Nome when it was reported missing at around 4 p.m. local time Thursday, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, State Troopers.
