Michael is an internationally renowned dog trainer, and teacher of dog trainers, with over forty years of experience in competitive dog sports, practical working dog training, and companion dog training.

The Michael Ellis School is traveling to Southern California for this limited event, January 24th-26th, 2025. Michael will be teaching for three days at Oscar Mora’s Elevated Canine HQ (1846 W 11th St. Unit H, Upland, CA 91786).

By the benefit of his extraordinary intelligence, his impressive teaching ability, and his raw talent with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and training disciplines, one of the most important figures is Michael Ellis, of San Francisco, California.

Handlers will work directly with Michael and Forrest. Class will run from 9am to approximately 5 pm daily, with an hour break for lunch. Each day will be a combination of lecture, demonstration, dog work, and video review.

Michael does the bulk of lecturing and teaching, but other members of the teaching staff will do some of the coaching and practical portions. Guest teachers also occasionally teach portions of certain courses.

In this pre-recorded webinar Forrest and Michael discuss the various choices trainers make when teaching focused heeling, depending on the dogs skills, the handlers skills, and the aesthetic of the discipline being taught.
