We had JUST started integrating our newest alpaca boys with our main herd when Neptune developed an eye ulcer. 🤦🏻‍♀️ These are incredibly common in alpacas because of their enormous eyes, and we’ve experienced a few this year unfortunately, but Neptune’s is also paired with an abscess right under his eye which complicates the situation. For the next week or so, Neptune has to be on stall rest, which means he’ll be staying inside with his Mermen fam. He’s getting four times a day meds and once
