Marie Curie is one of the greatest female scientists ever. She famously won the Nobel Prize in Physics with her husband Pierre in 1903 and became a global sensation for their work on radiotherapy. Her dedication to this field ultimately cost her her life as she passed away in 1934 from the results of radiation exposure. Her belongings remain radioactive today.
