Nashville leaders are looking for new ways to fund infrastructure WITHOUT raising property taxes. 🏠💰 Councilmember Tasha Ellis wants the state to let Metro keep 3% of the real estate transfer tax money that could go toward repairs and affordable housing. FOX 17 News spoke with Vice Mayor Angie Henderson explains what it would be used for and thinks that Davidson County’s unique tax base may be one reason the county hasn’t used this option before. The resolution heads to Metro Council tomorrow.
