A small clip from my YouTube video “2 hitting drills to stop lunging.” This is probably the easiest drill you can do to “feel” staying behind your front side. When you swing and collapse on your front knee, you’re losing power and more than likely getting on top of the ball. Stay behind the front side in order to generate power and hit line drives. A cue I love to give younger kids is chest behind your belly button. Make sure you’re taking your time when doing this. #softball #baseball #tannerte

Bounce drill to work on timing, staying back and under control. This is a good drill for hitters who are impatient and reach for the ball/who are on their front side too much. I normally use tennis balls for this drill but we didn’t have any this time so we used regulars balls which still got the job done. #softball #baseball #hittingdrills #hitting #hittingdrills | MegRem Softball
